Craft ACT: Craft and Design center is a notforprofit membership based organization which supports artists, craft practitioners, designers and makers at every stage of their careers. We support and rejoice excellence and innovation in contemporary craft in everything we do in our retail space, exhibitions, events and membership program. Rachael is CEO, Craft ACT: Craft and Design center with 20 years' experience in senior management and leadership roles in national cultural institutions, shaping strategic planning and the full continuum of visitor engagement from audience development, exhibitions and events, to digital and external communications. Fed brings decades of specialized boutique retail experience and is also a practicing artist, having exhibited nationally and internationally. He strongly believes in the ongoing urge of local and national artists and hopes that his experience and knowledge will help many maintain a original and profitable practice. Richilde provides members the support they need and identifies opportunities to improve their membership benefits. Richilde is an emerging ceramic artist who works under her own name and also as Girl Nomad Ceramics. Kate works closely with the Curator and CEO in the implementation of Craft ACT’s exhibition program, retail activities and overall organization. With a background in human resources, Kate is also an emerging glass artist, an active member of the local and national glass community and current President of Ausglass, the Australian Association for Glass Artists. The work of Craft ACT is also generously supported by private sponsorship.

The program facilitates access for the artist to national cultural, tertiary and research institutions and their collections, curators and researchers. Craft ACT: Craft Design center's national artist award exhibition, Emerging Contemporaries, recognizes distinguished premature career craft practitioners and designers and celebrates technical and conceptual innovation. An exploration of the interplay between light, glass and water to echo a moment in nature by glass artist Christine Atkins. The exhibition showcases craft practitioners and definer makers who are exploring digital technologies, research and design thinking with innovation. Elements is a dynamic series of group exhibitions celebrating the Craft ACT: Craft and Design center membership of leading craft practitioners and designer makers. A Craft ACT curated exhibition showcasing craft artists and designer makers who are exploring new areas in research, technology and design. Be a segment of the creative, professional community at Craft ACT and join into the vibrant contemporary craft and design scene locally and nationally. Professional craft practitioners and designers whose distinguished contributions demonstrate a high standard of artistic merit and technical aptitude who have local, national and international experience and standing. Craft ACT: Craft and Design center (Craft ACT) is a notforprofit charitable institution that supports craft practitioners and designers: from premature career to professional artists. Support from our donors helps Craft ACT recommend and support our members, construct marketplace connections and preserve Canberra's craft and design heritage. Craft ACT: Craft and Design center is supported by a Board of management. Explore the increasingly important role of digital manufacture in contemporary art, science, fashion, design and architecture. His work is informed by his life’s experience and it is evident that his previous professions in interior design and graphics are embedded in his furniture. As an interior designer, one of your main objectives is to create spaces that are effortless to live in as a furniture designer, your aim is to create objects that are effortless to live with. Bollington’s intention is to create harmony between the object and the built environment which we inhabit. Furniture and objects tell stories about the people who inhabit a space. But it’s the details in these works that help to build the story: the juxtaposition of materials and additions of color that draw your eye into the work. It is a balance between form, function and materials. Bollington is looking to make connections and build relationships through the creation of multifunctional pieces.
