Leon Weir started 5 Star Floors 15 years ago with the assistance of his sister Frances Weir, Ken Jamie son (Fran husband Leon's brother-in-law) joined 5 Star Floors in a fulltime capacity in 2005, Luke Eddy also joined in 2005 and had worked previously with Ken in a building related field. 5 Star Floors expanded to become a leading provider of timber flooring services to many of Canberra builders. Over the years we concluded that bigger isn't perpetual better and have consequently downsized to the clever highly experienced team. In addition to formal timber flooring industry qualifications, all four team members have extensive experience and qualifications in building related fields ranging from general carpentry, cert iv's in construction ACT interior design and a degree in business administration. This expertise in other building disciplines and 15 years specializing in timber flooring services has proved to set us apart from many of our competitors, with an increased emphasis on sub floor preparation, moisture testing and points of difference such as removing and refitting skirting boards as standard practice.
