The Australian Chinese Medical Association Inc (AMA) is a dynamic and responsible organization comprised of medical practitioners who care about the health and healthy being of the Australian Chinese community as well as the community at large. Whilst a important piece of the Australian Chinese community has integrated well into the Australian society, a important part of it is tranquil disadvantaged through isolation as healthy as language and cultural barriers. Through the engagement of our members we strive to improve the lives of these people. We also raise money to urge charitable causes through the AMA Charitable Trust. We also present our members a variety of social and professional events, providing an opportunity for like minded individuals to make friends, create networks, and even find career paths. The highlight of our professional program are our monthly educational seminars and our annual conference. Through improving ourselves, we seek to improve the protection we can offer to others. Our vision is to create a strong community of competent, caring and connected medical practitioners who can help, in the maximum effective way, those people maximum in need in society. In addition to being a segment of the community of people who are interested in the well being of the Australian Chinese community, members have access to the subsequent steady activities : Our monthly education meetings hide a wide variety of topics. Our annual conference provides a perfect opportunity to confront overseas experts to broaden our horizons. Other sporting activities also held on ad Soc basis. We are a community of doctors from all diverse backgrounds with a vision to improve our effectiveness through continued education, health advocacy and effective networking. Subcommittees are responsible for the different aspects of the functioning of the Association.
