Our school forms a wide network of adults and children active together to assist each other during the busy times with young families. The CBS Leadership Team provides a focus for staff to reflect on their professional practice, looks for opportunities for improvement and is an energetic portion of the planning and development of not fair the educational program but of all aspects of the school. Now working as Director of School istration, cine oversees Montessori curriculum and teacher professional learning as healthy as assisting the Principal. Her three children were Montessori educated at CBS in their early years while cine guided the Parent Toddler Program for the school. Ine is passionate about her role and believes that building definite partnerships with parents provides the superior educative outcomes for our children. Through her studies of kid development and busy in various settings along the way, Jenna has found Montessori Education to be an approach which seems to suit the individual needs of children like no other. She has a whole 20 years of experience in busy with children and 11 years of experience at Canberra Montessori School. She has continued to exaggerate her knowledge of teaching and education by recently completing the Bachelor of Education degree from the equivalent university. Classroom Assistant Vic brings to our school a prosperity of knowledge and experience, having worked in premature childhood education for over 30 years. Classroom Director Kerri is a passionate supporter of the principles of Montessori Education. Tom left teaching with many questions about effective teaching practice, especially how to encourage intrinsic motivation in students. Dilani is passionate about the Montessori philosophy and method of education for children and has a wealth of knowledge and experience occupied with children. She hopes to continue subsequent the child’ and perpetual tries to bring out the superior in the children in her care. Board members must be financial members of the Canberra Montessori Society. The Board looks to have members with a range of skills and experience, including legal, financial, strategic, business development, communication and educational. Douglas has a keen interest in supporting community, mentoring and educational groups. She feels being on the Board and serving the school will allow her to make further personal connections with other parents of the school and yield her with experience on a Board, which she is very interested in. For the past six years, Dem has worked in strategic management roles and has been responsible for the implementation of governance at various levels in a private sector organization, including business development, project plans, stakeholder management, risk, quality assurance and more. This gives every person in our community the chance to be involved and take an active segment in the development of our school. Fair as we aim to prosper our students as lifelong learners’, so to do we encourage our staff to always construct and thrive their own skills and passions. Canberra Montessori School has implemented Appretio, a method and system of professional and strategic development, which we use to encourage staff in their personal and professional learning journeys. While there are no formal position vacancies at Canberra Montessori at this time, we perpetual look forward to hearing from people passionate about occupied in education who are interested in what we do.

Beginning with two classrooms for 35 year colds, the school gradually grew, in a succession of rented premises, to include upper primary classes and an below threes programmed. In 2004, triumphant negotiations with the ACT government and a large commitment of resources through the School’s Building Fund, together with Commonwealth and Territory assistance, enabled the School to establish its current purpose built campus in Holder. Together with our Parent Toddler Program, we bear education for children aged 18 months to 12 years. The School celebrated its 30th Anniversary in 2011 and is elated of what it has offered, and continues to offer, to the children and families of the Canberra area.
