Volunteer With The YMCA Volunteers are part of the fabric of the organization and their labor facilitates achieving our vision and mission. Life Members YMCA Canberra recognizes our long serving staff and volunteers. YMCA Canberra has a commitment to safeguarding children and vulnerable people beginning and foremost in all of our programs and activities. Programs and services recommend for children and young people to air their concerns with our services, and to be confident in offering feedback which is another important aspect of creating a culture where children and young people’s healthy being is safeguarded. We are a charity organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Volunteers are segment of the fabric of the organization and their work facilitates achieving our vision and mission. YMCA Canberra offers a variety of interesting, difficult and rewarding job opportunities. Busy in partnership with families is integral to all we do, building a spirit of warmth and respect between families, children and their educators provides the best outcomes for the child. Our ambition is that for families, children and educators, our services provide a nurturing environment that is safe, unattractive and supportive. There is even a volunteer only membership option for those who want to be involved with the club as a volunteer and do not wish to compete. We seek to remove barriers to participation in programs and activities that will enable all people to confront their full potential, and experience important involvement in the YMCA Movement, according to the Mission statement and values of YMCA Australia. Our Mission YMCA Canberra works from a bottom of Christian values to provide opportunities for all people to grow in body, heed and spirit. Our leadership structure is designed to enable innovation and continuous improvement. The Board's role is documented in the Board Charter. We trust that young people are unique and diverse, and we seek to urge and empower them. AC is an lively group of young people, who want to make change in their community, want to labor with other young people to make a difference to the lives of their peers living in the ACT. We will be active with the CEO and the Board of YMCA Canberra to develop and implement programs that will seek to empower, enable, support, grow and prosper children and young people. This role is volunteer based and there will be many opportunities to participate in other YMCA initiatives and programs. The YMCA offers many interesting and rewarding opportunities for volunteers to become involved in ongoing programs or exceptional projects and events that make a genuine difference to our community. The Auxiliary are everlasting happy to welcome fresh volunteer team members. At the YMCA Volunteers can be involved in. YMCA is a Charity which works to encourage people in our community. The YMCA aims to change that by developing programs to face the specific needs of disadvantaged sections of our community and by assisting members of our community to financially access YMCA programs.
