Our guided tours and workshops are relevant for all age groups. Our guided tours are ideal for all age groups. The museum is fortunate sufficient to have a number of these unusual fossils on display, so it was great to see the location where they came from. These boulders looked a lot like limestone a renowned fossiliferous rock, so when some of these rocks appeared on the roadside of the barbed wire fences we’d been driving beside since leaving the town, we all agreed it was time to get out and have a look. The least age for party guests is 5 years old and guests younger than this should not be invited without management approval. If additional party guests come on the party day, we cannot guarantee that they can be catered for in terms of food and materials for some activities. Admission: Parents of the Birthday Child and other immediate family members are welcome to join in with their kid attending the party. Siblings of party guests may remain with parents guardians in the museum, but cannot participate in the activities unless included on the party guest list. Any surplus adults who wish to succeed the guided tour will be charged general admission. The National Dinosaur Museum is not responsible for the protection of any children outside the scheduled party time, and is not responsible for collection of the children behind the party. To celebrate its latest acquisition, a fossil dinosaur nest from France, the National Dinosaur Museum will be running notable tours every day during this school holidays highlighting the various eggs and prehistoric babies the museum has on display including the LARGEST EGG IN THE WORLD! The diversity of the exhibition has never been stronger, with new murals and many fresh fossils for a more cohesive story of the past. Established in 1993, The National Dinosaur Museum is celebrating more than 20 years of education and entertainment. Over this time the National Dinosaur Museum has developed into the largest display of dinosaur and prehistoric life in Australia. The interactive experiences encourage students to extend their learning at the museum after a formal discussion at each key exhibit guides provide time for students to explore, touch hand son fossils and specimens, interrogate questions, and take photos. Each program runs for a total duration of 90 minutes with a 60 tiny guided tour, then 30 minutes to experience our interactive areas or to browse through Canberra’s largest display of fossils, minerals, and automatic crystals as well as a comprehensive and different range of science and dinosaur themed souvenirs. Our current incursion program, where we reach to you, runs for around an hour to an hour and a half depending on any fracture times you require and includes interactive fossil time (including a fossil casting activity where the children will see a replica fossil made, which the preschool will get to keep for their science table or such), play time with dinosaur puppets, dinosaur dancing and reading some dinosaur stories. All tours are led by one of our experienced tour guides through the dinosaur age in an educational, entertaining, and interactive program.
