Family Relationship centers present a range of services and programs to support families at all stages of their life including people starting relationships, those wanting to make their relationships stronger, people with relationship difficulties and those affected when families separate. At Relationships Australia we trust that healthy relationships are essential for the well being of children, families, individuals and communities. Relationships Australia offers both couple and family relationship courses and professional training. Family Relationship centers yield relationship support services nationally. Family Relationship centers present a range of services and programs to aid families at all stages of their life including people starting relationships, those who want to make their relationships stronger, people with relationship difficulties and families who have separated. Relationships Australia surveys the Australian population every two to three years to find out what is going on with our relationships. There were no significant differences between the reports of men and women, with four fifths (80) of survey respondents reporting that they were smackedcorporally punished as children (figure 2). Of those respondents with children, fair over fifty per cent (51) reported they had smackedcorporally punished their own kid (figure 3), lower proportions than those which were reported for the adult responded’s experience of corporal punishment in their childhood. In 2014, Relationships Australia’s monthly online survey asked about involvement in six activities associated with well being. Women are more likely than men to report higher levels of social support. One in four women and one in three men report that they did not have someone to assist them out if in need. One third of people responding to the monthly survey also reported that their family relationships were highly negatively affected due to financial worries at Christmas (men 28, women 34), with men reporting lower rates of relationship stress due to financial worries
