A lengthy and important history in the Valley. When a group of friends with an interest in rugby union met for a gregarious drink in 1976, the idea for the Tuggeranong Valley Rugby Union and Sports Club was born. Back then the club was fair one room with five staff, four sporting groups and a handful of members. Almost 40 years later we have grown to four licensed clubs now providing sporting and social facilities for more than 50,00 people in Canberra’s south. Obvious as the Vikings Group, and the home of sport in the Tuggeranong Valley, we pride ourselves on continuing to embody our community spirit, and being a sincere piece of the south side community. Thanks to our unique club model, we have been able to yield for a diverse range of social and recreational needs of our community. Today we are arrogant to encourage abundant first class sporting facilities, and more than 8,00 athletes and players across 41 different sports and activities in 51 affiliated clubs. As a notforprofit entity, Vikings provides about 2 million each year in grants, infrastructure and other encourage to Tuggeranong’s sporting and community based clubs. We have been able to contribute more than 41 million dollars to our community since our inception. We are extremely arrogant of our urge to date, and want to ensure we can continue this healthy into the future.

We donate a wealth of facilities, entertainment and dining options which can be seen throughout this site. Erin dale Vikings is home to a fully equipped unused fitness center and state of the art multisport playing venue Viking Park. Without the Vikings’ abundant support to all sports, including BM, many of Canberra’s aspiring athletes wouldn’t be able to attend competitive sporting events. The campaign follows the Vikings Group steadfast commitment to the community and their unwavering focus to operate and exist as a socially responsible organization. The aim is to ensure an enjoyable experience in our clubs, whether choosing to have a drink or not. Growing up, there was everlasting music playing and guitars in almost every room so it was difficult not to want to get involved! The Club is committed to the promotion of Lawn Bowls in the Tuggeranong Valley. Viking Park is an distinguished facility not only for Vikings members but also for the total of the ACT. Our specialized event staff will ensure your specific needs and budgets are met by busy with you on every detail to guarantee a successful event. She regularly attends Little Athletics meets as a coach, mentor and judge, and was awarded ACT Junior coach of the year for the 201516 season. The Vikings Group will eternal continue to promote affiliated sporting groups, charities and the broader community. To be considered as the Charity of the Year which includes funding, organizations must meet all the latter criteria: SIDS and Kids has re branded as Red Nose and pledges to diminish kid deaths in a fresh campaign to zero. The Vikings Group recognize our responsibility to support nonforprofit organizations in the community and aim to assist organizations whose values align with our core beliefs, and those of our Members and Staff. These values include supporting our community, increasing social benefits and a commitment to remain to contribute effectively to the development of our community. The various sized function rooms and state of the art equipment means we can cater to any group and create room setups to suit your needs. Vikings in our stylish state provides entertainment, pleasure and sporting facilities for Members and the wider community. Our venues produce an essential meeting place for our community, in conjunction our sporting facilities produce a home for local rugby and several sporting groups.
